Sherry M. Jerimie, LCSW-R, MSW, MS is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Psychoanalyst and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (NY State License # 069545), in private practice in New York City.  In her private practice Sherry works with individuals, couples and groups.

 

She has worked in several outpatient mental health clinics treating individuals of all ages and psychiatric diagnoses in individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy.  Through her work as a psychotherapist at Help One, one of New York City’s largest providers of social services and part of Help USA, the nation’s largest provider of services to the disenfranchised, she developed an expertise creating relationships with resistant populations.

 

Sherry has developed a specialized practice as an International & Multicultural Psychotherapist, working with diverse patients from India to Spain, Argentina and the Caribbean. Sherry provides both long and short-term psychotherapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.

 

Sherry completed both the three and five year certification programs at The Training Institute For Mental Health in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. She is a graduate of New York University, with a Masters in Social Work from Silver School of Social Work, and a Master of Science in Management from The Wagner School of Public Service. She also has a Bachelor in Business Administration and Associate in Marketing, both from Strayer University in Washington, DC.  Her Post Masters Certificates at NYU include: Clinical Approaches to Addictions; Clinical Practice with Adolescents, Advanced Clinical Practice; Advanced Clinical Supervision (Groups); & Clinical Supervision. Other Post-Graduate studies have included Executive Coaching and Train The Trainer at NYU.  She has also completed training in Psychoanalytic Group Psychotherapy at Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society as well as the Coach Training Program For Masters Level Professionals at The Northeast Coaching Institute.

 

Sherry has enhanced her professional growth as a principal of Environworks LLC, an Organizational Effectiveness & Development Consultancy based in New York. Her role with the firm is that of Leadership & Executive Coach and Corporate Trainer. As a Certified MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and FIRO-B Practitioner, she works with business executives and managers to enhance self-understanding.  Clients include executives from The IRS, JP Morgan Chase, AIG, Moody’s, TD Bank (formerly Commerce Bank), Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, and Wells Fargo.
