Brief Psychothherapy

This specific type of therapy is focused and time-limited. It targets a particular issue(s) that you would like to work on. To commit to this process, you will need to commit time each week to devote to your treatment, for a pre agreed upon duration.

To begin, you will work collaboratively with your therapist to set goals that you both will work toward and evaluate over the course of the treatment.

This Is For You If...
  • You would like to identify patterns developed earlier in life to see how they may be affecting you today.

  • You want to work on making changes to those things that’s holding you back

  • You want to identify existing strengths.

  • You want to better understand how social, economic, racial, cultural, political and other factors may be affecting you. Together we will pay special attention to the pressures you face in different aspects of your life – as a partner, worker, daughter, friend, etc.. How these roles affect your well-being and physical health will also be examined.

  • Psychotherapy takes work, and works best if you are prepared to make the necessary commitment of effort and time.

  • Please note:  Although you will ultimately feel better from therapy, please be aware that therapy can sometimes raise intense feelings.
